Welcome to the Bookfarm
Cold and rainy in winter, hot and dry in summer, beautiful all year long--
that is Round Valley, Mendocino County, four hours north of San Francisco, deep in
California's Coast Range mountains. At the edge of the Valley, near the tiny town of Covelo,
is the 40-acre pine and oak woodland that is home to The Yolla Bolly Press.
Here in a barnlike structure, we work at making handcrafted limited edition books.
We select the texts, commission original artwork, and print by letterpress, in small editions,
using only the finest paper and binding materials. Our books are purchased
by readers who love fine literature, by rare book dealers, and more
than 100 university and other libraries here and abroad.
